ARTS, MUSIC AND DANCE Festival

(PAFCOM)- CDI In Collaboration with the
Alliance for Cultural and Educational Services (ACES)

Objectives:

This projects aims to achieve the following:

1. Offer a drug-abuse prevention alternative through arts, music, dances
and other creative works.

2. Enhance creativity among the youth through hands-on activities.

3. Develop students’ self-esteem through their finished projects.

4. Encourage life-long pursuit to creativity and productivity through acquired skills.

The Project: ARTS, MUSIC AND DANCE FESTIVAL

This project will start on June 27, 2004 and will culminate on July 17, 2004. The three components of this project are 1) talent search 2) Iskwelahang Munti sa Jersey City and 3) arts, music and dance extravaganza.


1. Talent Search: On the Spot Contest - June 27, 2004
Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey

There will be three simultaneous group activities in each session.

3. Arts, Music & Dance Extravaganza – July 17, 2004
Jersey City Public Library or any school auditorium
Time: 2:00 – 5:00

1. All paintings, essays, and poems of the participants in the talent search on June 27 will be
displayed.

2. All finished projects at the “Iskwelahang Munti sa Jersey City” will be included in the exhibits.

3. Participants will showcase their talents on music, dances, oration and declamation.

4. The extravaganza will be open to family members, relatives and friends of the participants in the arts, music and dance festival, PAFCOM CDI members, ACES members and guests.


MECHANICS

1. Parents/guardians will fill up application forms with security waiver
health needs provisions.

2. Participants will bring their own lunch.

3. Participants will only be released to authorized parents/guardians.
