The Iskwelahang Munti sa Jersey City is scheduled to open on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 at 2323 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07305. This will be held on November 1, 8, 15, 22, December 6 & 13, 2008 AT 10:00 AM TO 3:30 PM. This is open to children ages
7 – 15. In this six-Saturday program, students will learn Conversational Filipino language; Philippine dances, songs, history & geography; and arts and crafts. This is a joint project of the Alliance for Cultural and Educational Services (ACES) and the Philippine -American Friendship Committee, Inc. - Community Development Center (PAFCOM-CDC). Iskwelahang Munti sa Jersey City is supported in part by the Jersey City Community Development Block Grant.
Iskwelahang Munti will culminate with a graduation program where children will showcase what they have learned in the six-Saturday program. Like in the past, students’ parents and relatives will be welcomed to attend the graduation program.
Dr. Victoria Rey, program director of the Iskwelahang Munti, said that experienced teachers will provide a highly interactive and enjoyable educational environment
