Dr. Victoria Rey, President of the Alliance for Cultural and Educational Services is the author of Speak, Read and Write in Filipino. Filipino is the national language of the Philippines, a country that is composed of 7,107 islands. The Philippines, officially called the Republic of the Philippines, is located in Southeast Asia. Manila is the capital of the Philippines.
Speak, Read and Write in Filipino is written to help anyone who would like to understand, speak, read and write in Filipino. There are twenty interactive lessons in this book. These will enable non-Tagalong speakers engage in a conversation at home, store, school, or different locations and occasions. This will also help them to respond to questions and directions, understand easy reading books and write a letter and short paragraphs. Through interacting with the lessons and activities in this book, non-Tagalog speakers will be able to communicate in Filipino that is composed mostly of Tagalog words.
